DAY 3 - Santiago City Tour
Welcome to Chile! Arrive in the energetic capital of Santiago this morning and transfer to your hotel. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 3 PM

DAY 4 - Flight to Punta Arenas, Nao Victoria Museum
This morning's city tour takes you through the downtown that contrasts with the modern financial center, known as Sanhattan. Pass by beautiful residences that are part of the Barrio Universitario (University Area). In the historic center, stop at La Moneda, where the Presidential Palace is located. Continue with a drive along the green Parque Forestal with its stunning Fine Arts Museum. Then, crossing the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista, climb up San Cristóbal Hill to a viewpoint, for a panoramic vista of the city with its backdrop of the towering Andes Mountains. This afternoon, join the optional excursion to the Cousiño Macul Winery in the Maipo Valley. Tour the winery grounds and sample some of Chile's world-famous wines before returning to Santiago

DAY 5 - Magdalena Island*, Travel to Puerto Natales
In the morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Punta Arenas, the Southernmost tip of Chile, jumping-off point to the rugged landscape of Patagonia. On arrival, take a sightseeing tour, and immerse yourself in the rich history and maritime legacy of Punta Arenas. Explore the historic center with its European-style architecture and colorful buildings. Head to the waterfront promenade to visit the Nao Victoria Museum. Marvel at the full-scale replicas of historic ships that sailed the Magellan Strait, and beyond, including the iconic Nao Victoria, the first ship to circumnavigate the globe. Gain insight into the adventures of famous explorers such as Magellan, Drake, and Fitz Roy. Time permitting, visit a renowned sculptor's gallery, where you will learn how her creations reflect the region's uniquely fragile character and climate, and whose commissions span the globe

DAY 6 - Full Day Torres del Paine National Park
Depart Punta Arenas early this morning and embark on an unforgettable adventure through the legendary Strait of Magellan as you journey through the wildlife-rich Magdalena and Marta Islands (weather dependent)*. Begin with a transfer to Bahia Laredo, where you'll board a speedboat for a scenic ride to Magdalena Island, home to over 60,000 Magellanic penguins during the breeding season. Explore one of South America's largest penguin colonies and gain insight into their fascinating ecosystem. Then, continue to Marta Island, where, weather permitting, you may observe a thriving population of more than 1,500 sea lions. The island also hosts imperial cormorants and hundreds of southern gulls. On the return journey to Punta Arenas, keep a lookout for other marine life, such as southern dolphins. Have lunch in Punta Arenas before driving to Puerto Natales. Check into the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure
*Due to cruise seasonality, April groups will instead visit an authentic Patagonian ranch.

DAY 7 - Patagonia Cruise Embarkation
Spend the day in Torres del Paine National Park, declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, with its soaring granite pillars dominating the landscape. Begin with a hike toward Cuernos Viewpoint. Along the way, explore Salto Grande waterfall, where the water from the turquoise Lake Nordenskjold flows through to Lake Pehoé. The path is ideal to appreciate the flora, with Paine Grande Mountain dominating the scenery. In the afternoon, drive through the rugged terrain of the far eastern region to Cascada del Rio Paine for a short stop to admire the iconic three towers. Take in the inspiring landscape with its jagged peaks, azure lakes, emerald forests, thundering waterfalls, and roaring rivers. A box lunch will be provided en route. Return to the hotel for dinner tonight

DAY 8 - Guillard Glacier, Amalia Glacier
This morning, embark on the Patagonian expedition cruise ship* where you'll be welcomed on board by the friendly crew with time to have lunch on board. Afterward, the ship sets sail through the Almirante Montt Gulf. The journey will take you through the breathtaking wilderness of Chilean Patagonia. In late afternoon, arrive in Guardramiro Fjord and disembark on small boats for an up-close view of elephant seals. Return to the ship and continue cruising

DAY 9 - El Brujo Glacier, Calvo Fjord
The ship cruises north through the Pitt Channel, and enters the scenic Guillard Fjord. Continuing through the fjord, arrive at the stunning Guillard Glacier. After a short boat ride, disembark to begin your hike. Return to the ship for lunch, and in mid-afternoon, board the motor boats for a tour through the glacier channels. Navigate to Amalia Glacier and explore the area on a hike, if conditions allow. Return to the ship for dinner

DAY 10 - Montañas Fjord, Bernal Glacier
The ship navigates to El Brujo (the Warlock) Glacier, arriving after lunch. If weather and ice conditions allow it, you can go down to see this glacier from a nearby rock. Once back on board, depart for the spectacular Calvo Fjord. Here, sail through the icy waters in the Captain Constantine boat to visit Fernando, Capitán Constantino, and Alipio Glaciers. Depart for the Montañas Fjord in the evening

DAY 11 - Disembarkation, Flight to Santiago
Early in the morning, visit the scenic Montañas Fjord and its four descending glaciers. Next, reach the Alsina Glacier, and disembark for a boat excursion. Visit this small bay with its eye-catching glacier, appreciating its beauty. Then, return to ship and continue sailing through Montañas Fjord towards Bernal Glacier. Disembark from the small boats and hike through a small native forest, then cross a path leading to a small glacial lagoon. Continue the hike, until you reach the front of the glacier. From here, you'll have the opportunity to touch ice and observe a glacier in a receding phase that no longer reaches the sea. Return to the ship for lunch and continue sailing through Montañas Fjord. View the Herman and Zamudio Glaciers, before crossing the White Narrows in late afternoon. In the evening during the Captain's dinner and party, say thanks to the captain and the crew

DAY 12 - Depart Chile
Following disembarkation in Puerto Natales, transfer to the airport in Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas for your flight to Santiago. Arrive and check into the hotel. At dinner tonight, share memories of your journey through Patagonia, and bid farewell to your Tour Manager
